RHS leases out Lawrence Hall for £18m
The Royal Horticultural Society has granted Westminster School a 999 year lease of the Lawrence Hall and Conference Centre.
Designed to protect the heritage of the building as well as raising funds for a programme of innovation and modernisation across the RHS, it will continue to be the site for the society’s four London Flower Shows.
The £18 million will be combined with a major fundraising drive through 2012 to reach a target of £27 million.
“Our plans will help transform communities, add much needed scientific knowledge and safeguard horticulture for the benefit of future generations and the environment, RHS director general, Sue Biggs, said.
