Introduced to 4,000 students in Cornwall, summer 2007, Beach Break Live moves to Pembrey Country Park, Camarthenshire this year with a licence for 20,000.
Co-founder/financial/operations director Ian Forshew told whitebook.co.uk he wouldn’t seek to grow the festival beyond its natural limit and risk the atmosphere; instead the team will replicate the event on another site.
“We’re already looking at some options,” he said. And the Beach Break model seeks, where possible, to source supplies locally, “From beer and burgers to stages, sound equipment and event staffing”.
