Crown Foundation celebrates threefold

The Crown Foundation, the Crown Group’s charitable arm, celebrates its third birthday; reaches the £150k milestone for fundraising and launches a brand new logo and website for 2012.

The Foundation, set up in 2008 by the leading food, venue and events solutions provider, was initially created to support a number of charitable causes close to the hearts of many of the company’s directors and staff.

The Foundation has reached the £150k milestone through the fundraising efforts of its staff which have included exceptional activity such as the climbing of Mount Kilimanjaro, right the way through to annual awareness raising events at Cartier International Polo, selling cakes at London’s Leadenhall Market and family fun days at Thorpe Park.

To celebrate its third birthday, the Group ran a competition for its staff to design a new Foundation logo, aiming to capture the essence of what the Foundation stands for. The winning design was then used as a basis for the development of a new website.

The new website, aimed at staff, clients and customers, will encourage further donations and host news and photos from the various fundraising activities.

Charles Beer, managing partner, Crown Group, said: “The Crown Foundation was born out of a desire to give back, and we are extremely proud that over the last three years we have managed to offer our chosen charities substantial financial support, helping them to make a real difference to people’s lives across UK.

“We are very excited about the potential of the Foundation, and will look to strengthen the partnerships and support we have for our efforts over the next year.”
