Stage Crew

With crews based in Cardiff, Bristol, Bournemouth, Exeter and Plymouth, backed up with a network of crew companies throughout the country we can supply your crew requirements wherever the event.

All crews are supervised by one of our highly experienced personnel, who are responsible for the liaising on site with the client; this enables swift action to be taken and the delegation of tasks to be carried out without the need for the client to instruct individual crew members. Supervisors are able to organise crews in the most productive and cost effective way possible allowing you to concentrate on other areas of the event. All have invariably worked at most major venues in Wales and the South West and are therefore fully aware of the rules, regulations and problematic areas so are prepared for any eventuality.

From supplying 240 personnel covering all aspects of a full Stadium Show such as Take That at The Millennium Stadium in Cardiff (Summer 2011), to a 2 man crew loading out a presentation at The Marriott in Bristol, we keep a very much “hands on approach” with the back up of a 24hr office to cope with any last minute or ongoing changes to calls or times.

Site Services

For many years Rock City has provided site crews on a variety of large and small festival sites, supplying site, steel and camping production crews.

Teaming up with one of the leading suppliers of roadways, pedestrian walkways, barriers and fencing to the events industry we can now provide a complete service for equipment, crew, installation and removal.

Following your free site inspection you will receive a full quotation along with an itemised risk assessment and, upon placing your order, a detailed site drawing from our in house CAD team. Throughout the installation one of our project managers will be present to oversee all work and to facilitate any last minute or ongoing changes to the site layout.

Corporate Crew

Since 1990 Rock City Stage Crew has been supplying stage crews throughout the United Kingdom to the Live Events Industry. During that time we have built up a large network of casual and full time staff as part of our team.

Our stage crew service also includes a network of corporate crew throughout the country, with the backup of a vehicle support team and a large data base of freelancers. 

Our proven and well motivated stage hands come from our existing pool of employees and are both professional and technically minded for specific jobs. Working as a team, lead by a team leader, they are versatile enough in their core skills to cover any eventuality.

Particular attention to appearance is maintained throughout.  Whether on build show or de-rigs all crew wear company polo shirts and black trousers unless told otherwise by the client. This uniform allows crew to be easily identified on site and creates a professional image throughout.

All crew will have been through Rock City’s internal training programme, including first aid, manual handling, an understanding in their chosen field, and all with a minimum five years experience as a stage hand.

Rigging & Technical Services

Rock City is able to provide the complete rigging services from the supply of personnel to the planning, design and supply of hanging systems that can solve your rigging requirements.

From ground supports to temporary grid installations our comprehensive service provides you with a free site inspection and survey, following your site inspection you will receive a full quotation along with an itemised risk assessment, and a plan of all proposed work.

SKY-LITE Inflatable’s

With the ever increasing need for public safety, the modern day festival site can be a dark and disorientating place spreading many kilometres over unfamiliar ground. 

Sky-Lite can provide an answer in commanding the skyline with large specially designed illuminated inflatable’s fixed to tall structures that not only can be used as an orientation point for the public but can also be used to indicate main exits, car parks, campsite areas, as well as points of reference for lost persons, toilets, showers, drinking water or simply as meeting, recycling, information & welfare points the applications are endless.

With bespoke designs, the latest LED lighting technology, remote or fixed control systems, we are confident we can provide you with Sky-Lite inflatable’s for your specific application.
