Pitman’s People was set up in 2001 with the aim of assisting the event industry with an array of staffing requirements. Making its name building event structures throughout the UK and Europe, Pitman’s People grew and expanded with the creation of the ‘event staff’ division.

“Essentially we create an extension to their company with appropriately selected staff. This along with an approachable and helpful demeanour has allowed us to grow organically and become specialists in the field.” Vicki states.

New head of the Event Staff division, Vicki Robey, joined the company in June 2011 and has successfully project managed the staffing solutions for several different event organisers at some of the biggest events this year.

They pride themselves on offering a fast reacting, 24/7 can-do service. Providing individuals or teams of hardworking, switched on, experienced and motivated event staff ready for the event. Over the years they have worked on product launches, press conferences, concerts, festivals, sporting events, fashion shows and award ceremonies. Three examples from this year include the British Open Golf and MotoGP Silverstone, and work with brands such as American Apparel.

“We are not a mass volume company; we are specialists and perfectionists,” director Oliver Pitman says.
