NEWPORT CENTRE

The Newport Centre is an excellent multi purpose centre in the heart of the city. Opened in 1985, this exceptional venue has seen some of the best bands play in its distinguished history. Previous alumni include Stone Roses, Prodigy, Blur, Duffy, Manic Street Preachers, Elbow, Paul Weller and many more. The Newport Centre is well known for its great acoustics, magnificent stage and terrific atmosphere. Often described as an intimate venue, with a capacity of 2024 (1500 standing and 524 seated). Getting up close and personal, the staging is a whisker away from fans. In addition to music, Newport Centre also holds various sporting events, including the Welsh Open Snooker, Boxing and Darts, plus a wide range of exhibitions and activities.
