All Band chairs are of the highest quality and are manufactured in the EU using the latest equipment.  Band International offers two ranges of banqueting chairs: the traditional bentwood range, which is now available in a low maintenance finish and the Phantom range of polycarbonate chairs.

Band International chairs are made using traditional bentwood construction methods, giving unparalleled strength and lightness. The quality of our chairs is such that many of our customers still use chairs they bought from us 20 years ago.  Other features which set our chairs apart from the rest:

Antique finish

Band International have recently launched a new style of banqueting chair into its bentwood range.  The Antique finish offers venues and rental companies an attractive, low maintenance chair in gold, silver, copper and the well established limewash.  An elaborate painting process gives rise to this low-maintenance finish, which is welcomed by rental companies and venues, with an attractive ‘distressed’ look popular amongst end users.

Phantom range of polycarbonate chairs

Band’s Phantom range of polycarbonate chairs caters for every exclusive event.  A feature in itself, the transparent chair produces a dazzling effect under light and adds a unique atmosphere to the event.  The Phantom range is available in a range of designs, from the elegant Banquo to the softer curves of the Hamlet chair.  The Banquo is the leading favourite thanks to its good stackability, storage and handling.  Soft nylon gliders underneath the seat allow it to stack up to 16 high – again saving on storage and warehousing costs.  Thanks to these gliders, the chair stacks solidly and minimises rubbing between surfaces.

The Phantom range is available in a range of brilliant colours, as well as the clear favourite, which has adorned venues such as the Natural History Museum and served events for the BBC amongst others.  All Phantom chairs are delivered with a free, reusable cotton cover which further protects the chair when not in use.

I first came across Band International when I was CEO for Spaceworks in 1992.  With a background in hire, I was looking for products which were usable and readily available for the hire fleet; products which stood up to the test of time.  Band chairs were worth paying more for because they did that.  A product such as the banqueting chair is too expensive to replace every year and that is the problem that many people who have bought elsewhere currently face.  The Band chair is incredibly suited to the rental industry thanks to its sheer durability and usability.  We were able to repair and service the chairs throughout the years and, until the day I sold the business in 2008, we still had a huge quantity of the original chairs that we bought in 1992.

Band chairs are made to a standard which mean they always work together.  They ALWAYS stack together whether they are 17 years old or new; different chair models are interchangeable; the same seatpads can be used on all seats etc.

With regards to the service Band has provided, I have always received the goods when I was told I would get them and there were never any quality issues.  If there happened to be any shortages or damages, these were rectified immediately.  Will was receptive to our needs and brought any new ideas we had to fruition, developing bespoke products for us.  This also included a tour of Budapest en route to the factory!
